About Us
Hello!! And welcome to SUPA'S little corner of the internet! 💚☺️✨
The Sustainability & Urban Planning Association is a student-ran society for anyone who has any sort of interest in either Environmental Sustainability or Urban Planning in Dundee, Scotland!
Our members are mostly students from the sustainability and planning course pathways within University of Dundee but if that's not you don't worry!! Anybody with any interest in joining SUPA can join SUPA, you don't have to be on one of our courses, or even be a student!
Our sponsors for this year are The Giddy Goose and if you join you'll be able to attend our society's bi-weekly socials where there is free pizza + chips. You also get access to exclusive member-only deals and prices at Giddy Goose!
What we do?
Our drinking socials include themed pub nights such as 'Shit Shirt Night' or 'White Lies', Pub Quizzes, Pub Crawls, and we also do a themed Gaudie/Welcome Night in both academic semesters - some of our previous themes include 'SUPA' Mario, 'SUPA'natural, Rats vs Chefs, and Bananas n Pyjamas.
We also do more sober socials such as lasertag & bowling, coffee mornings, and study & support sessions for students who have any questions or just want to study with others.
Every year we also do several trips with us previously having gone to Amsterdam in April 2024, Belfast in November 2024, and Bratislava n Budapest in May 2025! This year we also plan to do more day trips around Scotland and further afield to explore the Planning and Sustainability around the UK!
We're planning on hosting a number of skills workshops again this year as well as inviting guest speakers to speak with our members on a variety of different planning and sustainability topics as well!
Why should you join?
Joining SUPA is a great way of expanding your horizons at university and meeting new people from your degree pathways whom you may otherwise not get to know as well!
SUPA's great if you're wanting to socialise but especially helpful if you ever have a question that you're not exactly sure who to ask. We've all been there before at uni and any of us are happy to help if you just ask allowing you to benefit from the experiences of the older year groups.
Even if you're not a UP or ENSU student, if you have an interest in either subject then SUPA is still a wonderful opportunity to expand your knowledge of planning and sustainability and build new connections!
Thank you for reading! ✨
