About Us

The student society and alumni association for Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine

ScotGEM is a four-year graduate entry medical programme taught through a partnership between the universities of St Andrews and Dundee in collaboration with NHS Fife, NHS Tayside, NHS Highland, NHS Dumfries and Galloway and the University of the Highlands and Island. The ScotGEM Society is the student society which aims to provide a space for ScotGEM students to socialise, provide learning and teaching opportunities, facilitate connections across regions, and promote and shape the unique identity of the ScotGEM programme. We aim to achieve this by hosting student-led teaching sessions, monthly well-being events like yoga and run club, and one-off events like ceilidhs and conferences. We will facilitate connection across regions through media outreach such as online book clubs. We will collaborate with other related societies to allow connection between ScotGEM and other Dundee University students.
