About Us

Welcome to Dundee University Music Society!

We are the home of music at Dundee University. We are one of the largest and most active societies at the University of Dundee and organise a number of concerts and social events for our members throughout the academic year. We have a diverse range of musical groups showcasing a variety of interests and styles. These include:

Dundee University Chamber Choir every Tuesday, 18.00-19.30

  • We are one of the smaller groups within the Music Society and mainly perform music of a classical style, both old and new. As well as taking part in multiple concerts throughout the year we also sing at the annual Christmas Light Night in Dundee and have undertaken a number of European tours in previous years. Visit our Instagram or Facebook on information about auditions.

Dundee University Choir every Tuesday, 19.45-21.00

  • We are the largest choral group within the university and our repertoire mainly covers classical works such as Mendelssohn's 'Christus' and Johann Christian Bach's 'Magnificat'.

Dundee University Big Band every Wednesday, 19.00 - 21.00

  • We are a thriving group of players and singers who cover a large variety of musical styles ranging from traditional Big Band music such as Glenn Miller, to famous songs by Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder (and even a bit of Latin too!). Follow us on Instagram @dundeeunibigband

Dundee University Orchestra every Thursday, 19.00 - 21:00
